Indie River Project
Nestled in the serenity of a riverfront home, our clients sought to create a home that would serve as a cozy sanctuary for relaxation, bonding, and cherished moments. With a deep appreciation for their picturesque surroundings and an undeniable love for their sweet fur-babies, we embarked on a journey to curate a family room that would seamlessly blend comfort, style, and pet-friendly features.
the before
It quickly became evident to us that our sweet clients were facing a furniture dilemma. Their small chairs seemed lost in the room, and left them struggling to create a cohesive seating arrangement. The peculiar layout of the space left them at a loss for how to maximize its potential. To make matters worse, their sofas, worn and tired, were no longer providing the comfort and style they desired. It was clear that a transformative furniture overhaul was necessary to breathe new life into their space and create a harmonious and inviting atmosphere that truly reflected their taste and lifestyle.
The after
To cultivate an atmosphere of comfort, we opted for plush and inviting seating options. Sink into oversized sofas upholstered in soft, durable fabrics, perfect for cuddling up with your loved ones and furry friends. Knowing how important it was to accommodate their beloved canines, we chose pet-friendly materials and finishes to ensure both style and practicality. Stain-resistant and easy-to-clean upholstery fabrics allow for worry-free lounging and playtime.
Tactile textures such as cozy throws and plush cushions were carefully selected to enhance the overall comfort level and add a touch of visual appeal to the space. Drawing inspiration from the riverfront surroundings, we incorporated nature-inspired elements to bring the outdoors in. A soothing color palette of blues mixed with earth tones, and organic textures like rattan and reclaimed wood furniture pieces not only create a tranquil ambiance, but a harmonious connection with nature as well. Soft cream draperies and natural woven wood shades bring softness to the large windows overlooking the river.
A family room tends to accumulate various items like books, games, toys, and electronic devices. Integrating multi-functional storage solutions like this scalloped-front chest keeps the space organized and clutter-free. We added a custom upholstered chair in a subtle stripe fabric to create a cozy corner for reading and comfortable conversation.
By curating a space that exudes comfort, style, and pet-friendly features, we have crafted a riverfront haven where our hard-working clients can now unwind, relax, and cherish moments with their loved ones, and sweet furry friends!
